Proximo 101 Investments (Pty) Ltd Privacy Notice
Introduction:
This Notice explains how we obtain, use and disclose your personal information, in accordance with the requirements of the Protection of Personal Information Act (“POPIA”).
Proximo 101 Investments (Pty) Ltd (www.premierpaper.co.za) are committed to protecting your privacy and to ensure that your personal information is collected and used properly, lawfully and transparently.
Who we are:
PROXIMO 101 INVESTMENTS (PTY)LTD, was established from a perceived need for high quality virgin tissue paper for the hygiene industry.
Our research showed that there was very limited availability of a wide range of tissue paper in Jumbo reels, particularly for the production of facial and pocket tissue.
Whilst a number of tissue mills operated in South Africa, most were focussed on producing toilet tissue grades in virgin and recycled with quality varying between acceptable and fair.
Proximo 101 investments saw the opportunity, and decided to invest in a tissue mill with the capability of producing a wide range of grades, ranging from 13 gsm to 35 gsm, with varying wet strengths being suitable for facial tissue, pocket tissue, toilet tissue, kitchen towel, hand towel, and other applications.
The mill, trading as PREMIER PAPER MANUFACTURERS, commissioned the machine on 20th March 2019, and continued with commercial production immediately thereafter. The mill capacity is in excess of 1000 tons per month, and supplying customers countrywide, including exports to neighbouring countries.
The company also invested in a slitter-rewinder, which enables us to ply up to three plies, and to slit reels to size, as required by customers.
This places us in a considerable advantage, as most tissue mills can only supply widths ‘off mill’ or with partial slitting.
The company has created over 70 jobs, and operating currently at full capacity.
Premier Paper Manufacturers have replaced imports with local production by almost 1000 tons per month
